I think moving in the right direction is the important piece. Extending when you finished 4-8 seems silly but the athletic department must like how things are shaping up and where they seem to be going (aka...he's building a good foundation). I personally wouldn't have extended it now but I can understand it.

This whole thing is crazy. It would seem like many coaches would stay away (heard Matt Campbell of ISU, pulled his name out) from that search. But you never know, ambition and money can make crazy things happen.
