Basically, bro, if you look at his UNCW bio the following is stated:

Attended Hargrave (post grad)
Attended First Coast (& won a state championship his sophomore year).

That means only his 9th grade year -at worse- wasn’t being counted. When you go post grad it’s for 1 of 2 reasons: better offers or need better grades. My guess? He needed better grades (because he would have found out going into his post grad year what he needed for eligibility).
