Richmond's mayor, who is African-American, has already said he's in favor of keeping the monuments but adding historical text around the building of the monuments. Makes sense to me.
I disagree. These people fought to preserve the institution of slavery. They have no place in America.

Well, you don't live in Richmond so.......................

Richmond is a majorly African American city with an African American mayor. At least the folks in Richmond seem level headed and somewhat intelligent regarding history.
