UTSA was the underdog last time they played Houston and UTSA came out winning by 20 @ Houston. That, and that was a lousy year for the Runners with only 4 wins. Houston started strong last year but fell off at the end. New coaching may be a factor for them this season. UTSA has grown since and has picked up some good recruits and has many starters returning. The Runners playing at home may give them the edge but we will see.
Baylor on the hand is battling the drama off the field and working the new coaching. Who knows how this will affect their play. That and they finished the last 6 conference games with loses. It will be interesting how their squad plays out this year. If Runners lose, no big deal, they are the underdog anyways but I think they have the potential to 4-0.

That is some homer speak on a grand scale.

I don't know. I think he gives good reasoning behind his prediction. They've beaten Houston. Hell they christened Houston's new stadium by disemboweling them on their field. It's a winnable game, especially if the Runners are as good as people seem to think. And Baylor could still be reeling from some of it's issues. UTSA seems to give P5 teams fits most of the time. All they need to do is keep it close and get lucky. But 3-1 with a good showing would still be amazing for the conference.

Of course UTSA may just not perform to expectations this year which has happened before. I was Just throwing out the things that are going for UTSA this season (coming off of their 1st bowl season, returning starters, recruited well, playing at home for UH) compared to some things that may hinder Baylor and Houston (New coaching, scandals, losing players, away game). Definitely 2-2, but if UTSA can take one of the Baylor or UH wins, it will definitely make a statement before conference play. I guess we will see though.
