How much higher? P5 jobs don't normally go after FCS coaches the last big time FCS coach to leave was NDSU and he went to Wyoming. Not that drastic of a difference. I think Liberty would be a potential spot depending on the money. Offer 1.5-2 million and he will bolt.

What if he wants to play for conference championships? Liberty can't offer that. What if he wants to coach at an established FBS school? Liberty can't offer that. What if Liberty were up against UCF, App State, Georgia Southern, Boise State, or Memphis? I think those schools have a good chance to either lose a coach or fire a coach by the end of the year and would definitely be ahead of Liberty in the pecking order for Houston and other coaches.

App and GS can't offer that money. The only real competition there would be is UCF and Boise. LU could easily out spend them too. I'm not denying LU is behind but I don't see the G5 teams as better destinations. LU is G5 level now and has way more money to spend if they decide he would be worth it.
