RE: France not for the French this day and age. Not safe ANYWHERE

I have lots of French friends. One is a very nice couple that lives three buildings over from the Cambodian Restaurant attacked a year ago. They're not scared of life. Neither are the other Parisians I know.
I think that the people who tend to be the most afraid are the people that are the least likely to travel or live in the supposedly target areas. Europe is probably safer than the USA. I'll be in Marseilles and Nice in June. No fear here.
Can someone please let me know the 'no go' areas in Paris? BTW, the Gay neighborhood in Paris is also the Jewish neighborhood.
Do you know the details of the Bataclan attack? If not, I'll spare you, but attempting to equate "a shooting" to it or Nice (Bastille Day) is ridiculous.
I'm sure you'll be fine, but your fearlessness and disbelief that anything could happen won't make it so.
