RE: NC State to fire Gottfired at end of season
I hate to say this, but I agree with Mullet.

NC State has a great fan base, and huge potential to be back to their former glory. Before UNC and Duke were anything, NC State was "the" best basketball program in North Carolina. It may have been awhile, but just as everyone on these boards understands, a few winning seasons and you quickly forget about the terrible years.

People complain about their fan base, but you have to understand. They went from one of the greatest basketball programs in the country, then the corrupt NCAA with their BS allegations tarnishes the program and throws one of the greatest basketball coaches Jim Valvano under the bus. NC State still hasn't fully recovered.

The fake classes and countless violations that the NCAA has swept under the rug for their money printing machine UNC is laughable. You can't blame their fans for being pissed and hungry for basketball relevance again.
