But what gets me more enthused is the schools in our conference who are also making huge strides:

UL - Endzone expansion and future upgrades all around...that stadium is gonna be a monster some day and is now the largest on campus stadium in the SBC.

Texas St - upgraded a few years ago but what a nice stadium. I saw it while on vacation a couple of years ago during construction...probably the most beautiful stadium in the conference.

ULM - actually was the first to do a new video board upgrade a few years ago...when I saw it the first time, I realized how crappy and out date our board was...now we have a new one...arms race!

Troy - did a total make over several years ago as they entered the SBC which really transformed that stadium...then they hosted OK St and MO to show the rest of us hosting P5 games could be done.

Ga Southern has made some very nice stadium upgrades as part of their move to the SBC.

Ga State may be the beneficiary of the Falcons if they build a new stadium...although the Ga Dome seems to still be nice stadium but maybe too large for Ga State.

Seems I've heard rumblings that USA may try to build an on campus stadium. Having been to Ladd Peebles the last 3 GoDaddy Bowls it's functional but in a bad neighborhood and the scoreboard is in need of upgrading. USA NEEDS a new home or needs to partner with the city do Mobile to do a makeover of LP.

App St had a beautiful setting for their stadium and draws nice crowds so they benefit the conference.

Idaho has some plans to expand the Kibbie dome so improvements are coming there and NMSU has a nice facility.

All of us working to make our home fields better makes the SBC better and stronger and is very encouraging. I'm looking forward to road trips to all these destinations over the next few years to check out the improvements and I hope the rest of you will venture to Jonesboro especially the next two years.

04-cheers

Just in regards to Troy...there are plans to make more football stadium upgrades in the near future with the building of the new end zone facility. Will definitely elevate the look and feel of Troy's stadium. For me, it can't come soon enough. All this development by other programs is making me hungry for more facility upgrades because we feel like we're falling behind. There's a total facilities arms race happening in the SBC right now and that's definitely a great thing!
