no disrespect to the sacrifices to our servicemen from that era, but WWII was a cakewalk for us compared to the other allied countries not named russia who didn't gain any territory either.

And the other allied nations were fighting for their land, we bled for that land...

Look the heroes of WWII in order

UK - for enduring the unendurable
US - for beating the Japanese and playing a huge role in Italy, France, and North Africa
USSR - For absorbing huge military losses and fighting throught

The soviets used their non aggression pact with the NAZI's to annex several nations and split Poland up... If Hitler had had an ounce of sense and let sleeping bear lay he could have mopped up western europe and eventually forced UK to the table.
