A couple of years ago Maddow issued a mea culpa about some statements she made about Limbaugh.

It seems that Maddow used a year old tape of Limbaugh and claimed it was from the day before. Apparently the timing was pertinent to the issue. A charitable explanation was that she was careless and negligent, but it was an accident. A cynical one was that she tried to manipulate her audience and smear Limbaugh, but got caught. I don't know what the truth was.

Maddow: I’m in a face-off, a huge fight, I’m in a massive brawl with Rush Limbaugh right now. And you know what? Rush Limbaugh wins.

Actually I'd prefer that we not engage in too much political discussion here. There are lots of other places for that.
