I said GS would be able to compete for atheletes against them and that their higher standards would limit them in the recruiting battle. He just said,"we'll send the dumb ones down to you". That started another debate about how he wasn't true blue, but I digress.
The point is that they do have better prestige, funding, and conference. BUT they are more limited in the recruits because of their high academic standards that they are forced to meet due to NCAA APR guidelines. Unless they pull a UNC and just make up a class and give each player the needed grade to meet requirements
I don't want "dumb" atheletes/students, but odds are we aren't really looking to get someone who wants to be an engineer either. The differences between the colleges may sometimes be in GS's favor. Urban vs rural, engineering vs anything else GS can offer, School of mostly guys vs School with some of the prettiest women around. They come to the campus and they will be influenced.
Oh dear Lord here we go...
what is wrong with my statement? Did I reveal some secret weapon in recruiting? GS does have a large percentage of female students and a lot of them are very pretty. Not saying other colleges don't have nice girls, but GT is not known for a plethera of female students.
