RE: Texas State Baseball (schedule)
UT did come to open our new baseball stadium in 2009 but they got to bring the umpiring crew and we got (add your own word here) by them. They did it as a "favor" for Ty.

I can't tell you when they had been to TXST before that. Couldn't blame them for not wanting to come to our sandlot field but they haven't been back since.

I am telling you, the change in the w/l weighting system is why they're coming. I won't be surprised if this starts to happen with some of the other "privileged" elitist teams when they start to feel the impact of that change.

UT always had 70% of their games at home. Probably 95% of their OOCs. I'll be interested to see what their schedule looks like this year.

I know this took effect in 2013 but I think those teams took a wait and see attitude in scheduling but are finding they need to "get out more"

The revised RPI formula is as follows:

* Each road victory will be valued as 1.3 instead of 1.0

* Each home win will be valued at 0.7 instead of 1.0.

* Neutral-site games will retain the same value of 1.0.
