Those of us who actually pay attention and actually know what rpi stands for realize this is the easiest ooc schedule that we've played in at least half a decade and we even went 1-2 at our own sham tournament.

I doubt that BT's remarks are as calculated as that. IMO it is probably more a case of having a microphone in his face and having to say something. Human nature is to say something which leans toward self-preservation. As far as trying to fool the casual fans by overblowing SOS, I think BT knows as well as we do that the casual fan is already lost as far as this season goes. I personally don't think that the engagement level of casual fans will matter nearly as much in determining BT's future at ODU as does Wood Selig's, and the major money donor's and sponsor's perception of the program. I doubt any of them would be fooled by such posturing, and I doubt BT would think they could.
