Reasons for Temple on so many ACC schedules.

Easy win.

Exposure in the Northeast.

Can sell playing in beautiful Lincoln Financial Field to recruits, particularly northeastern recruits - Philly and Boston are the #4 and #6 markets.

Also, I think there is an obscure rule that says a team has to play at least 5 games to be considered as part of a 1-A conference - so at the time these games were schedule, if BC was forced to stay in the BE one more year, the ACC could still petition to play its championship game.

Not sure about the latter since I read about it on the WVU board and did not see a link to the rule on the NCAA site.
