From my sources - latest on the BE expansion plans
Latest info I have is as follows: the 14th school to pair up with Navy will either be a school from the east or a FB only from the west. Early indicators are that adding a school in the east might possibly be the preferred choice. Likely candidates will be Villanova (top choice) followed by - in no particular order - UMASS (possible chief rival for UCONN), Buffalo (to recapture NY state for BE football) or a school from the current CUSA east division. However, strong possibilities of a western expansion are also out there. Expect a possible team to come in from either the MWC or from the WAC.

There is also talk about the possibility that UL, Rutgers and/or UCONN may be invited to another conference. If that happens, the BE will try to invite another school (or schools) to replace the departing schools.

That's the latest I heard on BE expansion. Look forward to hearing from others on their views.
