I realize its a different WAC, but is it really that much worse? No offense intended but have any of Boise's other sports been competitive nationally?
Nothing people care about. Wrestling and men and women's tennis are top 20 programs every year. Also gymnastics and swimming have been top in conference for a few years now.
So..nothing people care about. Men's basketball is getting better but that is not saying much.
I know the people around Boise wanna care about basketball. They just need a reason too. It doesn't help that Taco Bell Arena is to damn big. We had 6000+ the last 2 games and it still looked empty.
The Taco Bell Arena will sell out for the two MEMPHIS BB game visits between 2013 and 2016. I do not know what the capacity is there but it will be reached for those 2 games.
MEMPHIS agreed with play both SDSU and Boise St H&H in a 4 game BB series as part of the Big East deal.
Capacity for basketball is almost 13,000. It is one of the biggest arenas out west. If they can't sell out with UNLV, New Mexico, or SDSU I do not know why you think it will with Memphis. That is not a knock on Memphis either. The arena is to big for basketball in Idaho.
To be fair when the NCAA tournament is here is does sell out then. That is why it always comes back.
