To survive? Are we going somewhere?

Would an on campus stadium be nice? Sure. However, it would have to be as nice or at least close to the one we play in now (Raymond James Stadium). That would easily require $250MM. I think there are many better uses of that kind of money than to spend it on a building that will be used no more than 10 times per year.

On the USF rivals site, we did an analysis. To staff and maintain such a facility would cost us essentially the same that it costs us to rent RJS. That means that there's no way we're going to save anything by having the stadium on campus, so it's purely an outlay of cash that will not be returned. I would rather see USF spend a small fraction of that money to make the Sun Dome state-of-the-art, build a new baseball and softball facility and add maybe build up a warchest to pay successful coaches.
