7th school invited won't be BYU. For them it's the Big 12 or bust. It wouldn't surprise me if the Big East wanted Hawaii. If you're travelling by plane anyway, might as well make it somewhere nice. Plus Hawaii already has a home for all their other sports so there's no worry about that.

Don't know about that! Just had several BYU posters on our board say if 3rd tier rights are cleared for BYU network they are coming

It just seems to go against the whole reason they went indy in the first place, to become the LDS version of Notre Dame. If that's what they want, then they should put all their sports except for football in the Big East and continually push everyone around with their football independent-ness.
