Mason will face UNC Charlotte the opening round of the 2010 Charleston Classic
The George Mason men's basketball team will face Charlotte in the opening round of the 2010 Charleston Classic as announced on Monday. The Patriots and 49ers will square off at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Carolina First Arena in Charleston, S.C.

The full field for the tournament was announced on Monday with Coastal Carolina and USC Upstate joining the field. The opening day will begin with Georgetown taking on Coastal at Noon and at 2:30 p.m., USC Upstate and Wofford will face off. The evening session will begin at 6 p.m. with East Carolina playing North Carolina State.

Mason will play either ECU or N.C. State the following night with the 20th as an off day. The event's final day is Sunday the 21st with Mason playing one of the four teams from the other side of the bracket. The team that makes it through the field undefeated will be crowned champion.
