considering CMBYN was nominated for 4 Oscars and won 1, 'Love, Simon' will have big shoes to fill.

Except I hated CMBYN, so keep that in mind. They're VERY different movies. Yes, I suppose they're both essentially about Male-Male love, but the cinematic style, as well as the genre were totally different

I don't get how anyone could hate that movie. I know 'to each their own' and all but I think that may have been the most sensual and truest movie about first love I've ever seen...I felt like it was a masterpiece.

I'm just curious why you didn't like it. I mean, just watching this scene, it's pure perfection...I can't imagine how one could make it any better than it is.
