RE: USA Today Player of the Week
HorseGlue Wrote:The OL gave him time against Purdue, but he had danced around needlessly in the pocket around and threw off his back foot a lot. The key is to keep the leash off him like we have the last few weeks and let him run if the opportunity is there. As others said earlier, he looked like he was under orders not to scramble against Kansas and Purdue and that made him feel uncomfortable and panicky.

Let's hope BJ keeps the Offense open and flowing like he has the past few games. No dinking around for 3 yard passes and hand offs up the gut. Spread them out and open the playbook. If Dan wants to run, let him go (just remind him to slide and run out of bounds to protect himself like he has been). He looks light years better when he has freedom to make the call. If the QB is comfortable and in rhythm, it carries over to the rest of the Offense and good things will happen.
I agree Horse...LeFevour was very, very shaky vs. Kansas and Purdue (1st half). He looked more like a freshman this year than he did last year. LeFevour just needs to be given the key to the playbook and have fun spreading the ball around and putting on an aerial show. What do we have to lose, right? Anyways...I hope Lefevour will not only make the Chippewas proud, however the entire MAC this week. Let's at least get Herbstriet or Corso to mutter the words, "Central Michigan beat Clemson" next week on college gameday.
