alternative schools recieve funding from the public schools. So you aren't paying seperate taxes. Some of the money going to public schools is channeled (however u spell it) to the alternative schools. Some alternative schools are held on the grounds of the schools these kids were "kicked out of."

Another important point is that liberals use alternative students as a jobs program. For instance, in New York it costs the board of education $7,000/regular student, but it costs them $12,000 for each special ed student. While special ed kids should get mroe attention, the state sticks the trouble makers in the special ed class so they can spend more money. Taxes aren't raised until the board of ed goes over the budget. Unfortunately i don't know how much it costs the state per each real alternative student. Unfortunately, these kids can't get kicked out of school for good. When you say they should be put in jail, you have to remember that it costs the state $ to put people in jail, also.

So lilred you're right when you say it's not fair for taxpayers and it's the parents' fault. Taxes are hardly ever fair. Remember, MORE FUNDING TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS, MEANS MORE JOBS FOR LIBERAL SERVANTS.
