I have a feeling they will be counting on Trump vetoes. Here me out. They'll send a bunch of stuff to Trump, which he will rightly veto. However, they will use those vetoes as ammunition against Republicans during the next presidential election. It'll be there, "See, the Dems are trying to help the American people but Trump/Republicans blocked it all!" "Vote for a Dem for POTUS and we'll be able to pass all this stuff!"

Exactly what I said. Those vetoes simply become Dem talking points for the 2028 campaign.

And

Republican talking points

We saved you again from the prog filth. Do you wanna go back to the Biden disaster?

But...people are generally stupid so who knows.

To be effective, "talking points" require someone who can deliver them coherently.

Democrats have the media to do that for them. Republicans in 2028 need someone who can speak in whole paragraphs (Vance; Rubio; DeSantis; Cruz have all shown the ability to do so.)

Either that, or pray that the Democrats go with someone as completely incomprehensible, even with media cover, as Kamala Harris/Tim Walz.
