J. Kushner and Mid East governments secretly moved nearly $1 Billion in 2018
President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner denounced Vanity Fair on Thursday, calling out the magazine on social media after it published an excerpt from an upcoming book that allegedly revealed Kushner's secret financial agreements with Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Key Facts
The allegations against Kushner include secret bank accounts he was a signatory on, hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign transfers, and political arrangements with Middle Eastern leaders.
The findings were sparked by Dutch investigators who gained access to Kushner's phone through an apprehended and flipped Russian hacker who gave them access to a Russian remote server containing screenshots of the phone and its data, according to the Vanity Fair report.
Kushner's phone was monitored by Dutch investigators as he used it in 2018, with investigators finding Kushner accessed a United Arab Emirates-linked bank account that had $750 million transferred into it by a UAE government-funded charity, the report added.
An unnamed person cited by Vanity Fair allegedly held discussions with Israeli and United Arab Emirates officials about a "secret financial agreement between Kushner, the UAE, and, at least initially, Saudi Arabia."

Kushner reportedly promised United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan he would "push their agenda with Trump if they participated in a fund," according to the unnamed person.
Kushner took issue with an excerpt from Thursday's story that suggested he may have violated U.S. law by allegedly failing to disclose his activity with the account, saying the allegations "are completely insane and never happened."
Al Nahyan also reportedly used another bank account intended for Kushner, moving $1 billion to Israel via Azerbaijan for Kushner.
Vanity Fair also reported the presidents of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were paying for Kushner's influence within the U.S. government.
Crucial Quote
"These are outrageous fabrications being presented as investigative journalism," Kushner tweeted Thursday.

Key Background
Kushner has long been scrutinized over supposed conflicts of interests between his role in the U.S. government as an envoy and his private financial dealings. The president's son-in-law, who owns a private equity firm that has received billions of dollars from Middle Eastern leaders and foreign wealth funds, became a billionaire last year and has since become the target of congressional inquiries into his business dealings.
