Well Bartlett, they do influence me. They convince me I'm correct that the NEA should be dismantled and the subject matter for local schools and their hiring and firing of teachers and principals should be returned to the county/parish level of government.

Standards should once again be set for each grade in terms of what each student should know by the end of that school year. And students should be tested at the end of every school year to see if standards have been attained.

The pledge of allegiance should be recited every morning, and sense of unity as one people restored, and the Constitution taught in a cursory fashion to the young and in depth to the older students. They are citizens and they need to know their rights and what the government expects from them as citizens.

We have the issues we face today because we allowed liberal hegemony among university faculty and let them establish the norm for teachers who while paid by the state in most cases use each other for credentialing and live fat off of ever increasing tuition and have no one from the state governments, elected by the taxpayers checking to see what they are teaching and producing. I found most of them to be warmed-over draft dodgers from the 50's and 60's still justifying their dodging their own responsibilities to the country that gave them everything, and because of a fat state check and Cost of Living Raises almost annually, conveniently socialist in most of their outlooks. Nothing makes anyone more popular with the young than playing Santa Claus with everyone else's money.

Take back the schools, actually educate young people to be intelligent and productive, get their asses back in good physical condition with actual PE and you won't have to dope adolescent boys with Ritalin to control them. And you won't have old bastards like me having to go to through to school board to stop a 9th grade biology teacher from telling 14-year-olds that they should find another boy and another girl and have sex with each of them to determine their sexual orientation.

The first two years of college are now remedial classes to get students up to university speed, though in reality they just make having a Masters degree today equivalent to a Bachelors degree in the 60's. People are too stupid to realize that when government tells you "no child will be left behind" what it really means is "no child will get ahead."

Nah, most all of them stayed in college for their undergraduate degree, then a master's degree, then a doctorate, and hoped that 8 to 10 years in college got them past the Viet Nam war. I knew of 6 of them, all sons of millionaires who became bishops in denominational churches after tacking on seminary just in case the war was still going on. Want to know why churches died? Seminaries were soaked with left wing draft dodgers and not believers. That great old verse that said, "You cannot serve both God and mammon." should have had a corollary, "You cannot serve both God and self either." Most of them would rate high in narcissism and when you think about it so too do liberals. What they want is no structure and no social mores to follow, and no rules from man or God to have to obey.

The world you describe exists because FDR rightly suspended Anti-Trust laws to streamline the production of war goods for the prosecution of WWII. Truman should have reinstated them, but Korea prevented it. Then Viet Nam prevented it, and so on and so forth. The failure to fully reinstate those laws led to the rise of Corporate Multi-nationals and led to those companies making billions from each rebuilding country's national debt, and from the national debt of the United States which was helping to rebuild the world left in tatters after 1945. And it was not lost upon my generation that having the Federal Reserve backers largely comprised of Arms Corporations was not in the best interest of any American as Ike pointed out when he left office. But the lobby of the Federal Reserve and its backers was massive following WWII and getting Congressional action against their benefactors too damned tough to achieve.

Now our representatives don't represent us because our donations to their campaigns are swamped by corporate money. That's how we got here. Stupid kids with lousy educations just keeps us there. The public schools quit teaching logic in the late 80's. If the mind isn't taught to rationally process information and if you are taught to dutifully believe anything your teacher tells you, or what you hear on the corporately controlled network news, then your butt will be condemned to those coal mines where you work to get nothing but an early grave.

Our government was hijacked with War Debt serviced by part of a multi-national baking system backed by corporations.

Another fascinating detail not taught in schools is that Mitsubishi made bombers for Japan. Nissan made tanks for them. Daimler Benz made engines for ME109s and other attack aircraft for Germany, and they along with many others survived the war intact and still producing goods. Same with Porsche in Italy. Corporations make money for other corporations, and punishing those who supplied our adversaries would have harmed the investments from corporations in the allied nations. The rich have always taken care of the rich and like royalty of old seem above legal reproach. Why? Because they buy the political systems.

RFK wanted JFK to dismantle the Federal reserve. I have long believed that the Bay of Pigs was an excuse for the Fed Backers eliminating the Kennedy brothers. First Jack because he appointed Bobby to be Attorney General. Then in '68 Bobby because he was going to be a popular Democratic Nominee and they couldn't have him shut down the war and end their influence.

I do believe you're talking to one of the very kids you've so succinctly described. Every bit of it is lost on him. He knows nothing about any of what you just so eloquently stated.
