Sure, they would love to win, but what we are seeing isnt so much about that as it is to try to not get demolished in the down ballots, while not allowing another clusterf*ck to happen in 4 years.

It was clear that Biden* was causing an issue where the down ballots were skyscreaming that they were about to get pummelled. SO they needed to try someone else who would at least get people to the polls. They would have preferred it to NOT be Kamala, but since the whitehouse is likely gone, they decided to run her (for now) so that when she gets her brains bashed in she wouldnt be around in 4 years. Had they handed this off to someone else without trying Kamala first, then that person would have likely also lost, and black women would be throwing a revolt if in 4 years it wasnt Kamala. So they decided to coronate her now, and if she falls on her face they can replace her without having to deal with her again in 4 years.

The real issue the dems have is the senate. Right now there are 50 fairly safe seats for the republicans, and about 43 for the democrats. There are 5 seats leaning dems, and 2 tossups. The tossups are MT and OH, which dems could easily lose and are virtually guaranteed to lose if any of the dems in those states fail to show up. The other 5 leaning dems are in swing states, and if dems cant get the vote out, those seats are in jeopardy.

So, why all the barking from dems and Chuck Schumer over Jd Vance. Because JD Vance has the appalachian connection, which is going to play well in OH, PA, MI, 3 of the states where democrats need to hold senate seats.

The dems could also take a beatdown in the house if the votes dont show up. But the HOR is about as gone for the dems as the whitehouse is. The dems are scrambling trying to prevent a rout in the senate, which would take a full 6 years to correct, or longer. If dems lose in OH and MT, it may be forever before those seats can be challenged again by the dems.

This makes ZERO sense. Vance does nothing for trump in PA, MI, or OH. He's already going to win Ohio...and the senate polling showed that the dem senate candidates wildly outperforming their R candidates compared to how Biden was doing vs. trump.

Vance is a horrible pick and you know it. You may need to dust of some Palin lines about lipstick on a pig. 07-coffee3

Vance is far better running mate for Trump and the Republicans than kamala is as a top of the ticket candidate for the democrats. kamala is reaching way, way, way up over her head trying to grasp the presidency. Willie Brown won't be there to repay kamala's 'favors' and give her the job this time.
