The difference between the two is you want to put severe restrictions on law abiding citizens of this country for crimes someone else committed and we want to prevent criminals, and every single illegal alien is a criminal, from coming into the country to prevent future crimes. The first is irrational, the second isn't.

In the gun threads you've demonized the NRA and it's members for crimes committed by non-members doing things the NRA itself decries. Now you are upset because your precious political ideology is rightfully getting attacked because one of these criminals that they are constantly fighting for, even to the point of refusing to pay our men and women in the armed forces, committed this heinous crime. Time to take your medicine.

Deal with the cause instead. In other words - why are people so evil that they want to murder multiple people ?

Well, yea, I agree but I still don't see how getting rid of a gun cures someone of their desire to commit violence. It doesn't. But yes, a well armed society is a polite society.
