I don't believe the majority of Republicans are racist. I also don't think Trump is a racist.... although I do think he has inherent bias... Which if we're being honest... A lot of us do. Myself included. But I do think Trump and his cohorts are using racial undertones and dog whistles to play to the crowd that IS explicitly racist. I'm not sure how large that group of people are, but I'm willing to bet that it isn't insignificant.

Well, I grew up in a small rural town in Ohio as well. (pop. 5,000) In fact, considering where you went to University you obviously drove through it often - I still live in what could be considered a smaller rural area.

Have I ever heard that word used - of course. But I can tell you it isn't common. Additionally, Obama's policies aren't looked at favorably in almost any rural area in the United States, not just Ohio.

There are some racists anywhere and everywhere, but please explain how Obama could ever win the presidency if the majority of white people are racist? The answer is he couldn't...
