Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings have been used for an awfully long time in this country. It is ridiculous something as simple as saying Happy Holidays or Merry Chrismas has become a political litmus test.

No, the “War on Christmas” was largely a ploy by the right, largely Fox News, to make conservative Christians feel threatened. Businesses have long preferred Holiday greetings to broaden appeal to all who celebrate this time of year. Municipalities have traditionally chosen to include all of their citizens in holiday celebrations as opposed to “most”. This has been done as long as I can remember... until now.

The city of Memphis had menorahs, christmas trees, candles and seasons greetings signs up and down poplar for years... and still do.
