That's a big jump you're making there. I've yet to see anyone credible even suggest that there was anything coordinated between the Republican party and Russia.

The issue, which McCain has gotten on board with, is that Ralph went into Joe's shed and used the lawn mower to mow Fred's neighbors lawn. Whether that benefits Fred doesn't matter to Joe or anyone else, because Ralph still broke the law.

I am more on board with Owl69 who is skeptical of the report because, as he says, we have had the same intelligence agencies get things wrong before. But I find it a bit unnerving how easily some people will try and basically victim blame the DNC. That, in essence, the ends justify the means when it relates to a foreign adversary.

I guess my question for you is, if it comes out that there unquestionable evidence that Putin played a direct role in this hacking and information dissemination campaign, why are you OK with a foreign adversary, that does not have our nation's best interest in mind, trying to influence how we govern?

Yes Ralph broke the law, Then why do you start the issue off with essentially "When do we call Fred out as Ralph's buddy and pal in the mess."

If Fred was in cahoots, yep, Fred needs to pay the piper. If Fred wasn't a "conspirator" then the inflammatory first statement you led the thread off with is just that -- inflammatory and gratuitously snarky.

Additionally, you have to remember that nothing in that hacked emails has been disavowed. Nothing. So the problem with the effect of the emails ultimately rests with the people that "put that to paper", so to speak. You are mad that someone revealed truthful and accurate items.

And if and when RNC emails are released, I will have no sympathy for the results to the authors.

It is like a legal proceeding when one party shows evidence from phones and emails of the opponent detailing the opponent saying or doing (insert your bad behavior of choice here) Invariably the jerkball who now has been depantsed always says "how DARE you look at the email....". I mean they are more outraged at the fact that they are evidenced being (xyz) than the fact that they themselves provided that fodder.

Sorry, then. But a lot of people are upset that these emails were revealed. The problem is not that they were revealed, but that they were not taken care of sufficiently to not be stolen.

A good example is the dump of classified emails on Weiner's computer, a computer not authorized to have them. A lot of people are mad at the FBI for investigating this, when they should be mad about the lax manner of handling them.
