It took me a long time to believe that Trump actually wanted to be President. Now, I am beginning to wonder if he's thinking *%&! What have I done?

Did you see that 2012 Tweet-storm from Trump, the one where he thought Obama was going to win the Presidency by taking the electoral college while Romney was going to win the popular vote? (For reference, this was shortly after the election was called for Obama, because it was clear he would win California, etc, but there were still lots of votes from out west that hadn't yet been counted and included in the popular vote tally on the newscasts.)

Anyway, here are the relevant Tweets:

Donald Trump, via Twitter, 11/6/2012 Wrote:"He lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!"
"The phoney electoral college made a laughing stock out of our nation. The loser one!"
"We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!"
"More votes equals a loss...revolution!"
"The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy."

So here's my thinking, I mean, lots of people are saying, I don't know, but plenty of people have said Trump just wanted to win the election, not actually be President. I think I've finally cracked it! Trump's been playing the ultimate long game, and playing it so very well...
Step 1: Tweet storm in 2012, calling out the Electoral College as bull****.
Step 2: Win the Presidency via the Electoral College in 2016... while losing the popular vote.
Step 3: Stage a one-man revolt on 1/20/2017: refuse to be sworn in as President.
Step 4: Mic drop.

Really makes you wonder what all the Trump supporters condemning Clinton supporters for even bringing up the popular vote would be doing if Trump had won the popular vote and lost the electoral college.

George HW Bush was the last Republican to become president winning the popular vote.
