Strongly disagree with the bolded part of your statement.

I know lots of Trump supporters, and not one is in the "race-baiting" side. I know lots of Clinton supporters, and all but one think Trump supporters are race-baiters. I have spent the last eight years being accused of being a racist, because when I voiced opposition to anything associated with Obama, the immediate response was that I just couldn't stand a black man being POTUS. I think the attitude on the left the left George described is pervasive, and embodied in the term "PC". The things you mention are much closer to one-offs, yet they are hailed as representative of Trump supporters.

I was initially offended when Trump used "rapists" to describe illegal immigrants, coming from a South Texas multi-ethnic family with extended members both north and south of the Rio Grande. But rather than join in the hue and cry that he was xenophobic, I realized that he was talking about illegals, not Mexicans, and about some illegals, not all. I don't agree at all with his solutions, but I do think he has pointed out a problem. Xenophobia? Who made that up?

I think the reprehensible, racist portion of Trump's supporters are a much smaller percentage of them than the the virunlently PC are of the left. JMHO.
