RE: The Man behind Rosa parks in photo was staged--he was a reporter
I was told that the white guy in the photograph was a reporter back in 1985/86. I was a high school student in Mobile AL and some 30th anniversary stuff about Rosa Parks was in the media. A teacher at my school mentioned that the guy worked for the newspapers, but didn't mention Atlanta or UPI.

How my teacher knew this to be the case, I cannot say. As I try to remember her now, I'd guess she was about 60 years old when I knew her; born about 1925/26 and an adult at the time of the bus-boycott in Montgomery. I suppose it's possible she lived in Montgomery in the 1950s or had family that did so. I don't remember if she ever mentioned that or not.
