Today marks the 100 year anniversary of the First World War. A war that still can be found on today's battlefields. It can be considered the first modern war. It saw machine guns, tanks, planes, and submarine warfare. It also introduced the world to chemical warfare. Men from Germany, France, Russia, Britain, Italy, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and the United States found themselves in its grasp. Millions perished, and whole empires collapsed. So today give moment of thought to those who fought and died on the battlefields. There is not an American veteran alive anymore to tell the horrors of the War to End all Wars.
