Buffalo’s Jim Whitesell is out after 4 seasons despite a 70-49 overall record. I think what did him in was his team losing in the quarterfinals 3 out of 4 seasons and following in the footsteps of Nate Oates who had a lot more success. They definitely underachieved the past 2 seasons with the talent they put on the court.

UB lost momentum under Whitesell. Having that Mballa, Segu, Jeenathan Williams team not challenge for a reg season or tourney title really hurt. Some good talent in their program if the next guy can keep it mostly together.

With Whitesell's firing, all MAC Schools other than Toledo, Kent, Akron and Ohio have chanced coaches within the past 2 seasons.

All the other MAC schools might have changed coaches BECAUSE of Toledo, Kent, Akron and Ohio, lol
