Well, the good news is there's no place to go but up!

I just got a call to buy season tickets. Why would I buy season tickets when we don't even have a schedule published?

Only five home games, one against a nobody FCS school, leaving the other four a mix of midweek and foul weathered games…and they wonder why our attendance is what it is. Maybe we should just get 4 payday road games and play the home games inside the IPF.

I mean, I don't have a problem with the games being what they are. But when I have to give away tickets because the MAC changes the schedule mid-season, or in basketball a week before, I'm not going to buy it.

Unfortunately that’s the life of a ticket buyer these days. The time and date is only a suggestion.

I know what you mean, but the blame goes to the MAC. KSU did post the non-conference schedule, as well as a current roster. I don't have any idea why it's taking the MAC so long.

RE: 2023 Football
Crazy question, but why do we need the football schedule in the middle of February? How would it matter if it came out in March or April?

No, it's not a crazy question. I don't need it, but I think some like to plan way ahead.

While there’s no huge rush to have a schedule out yet, some people have weddings or other functions in the fall that may need to be factored in. Outside of maybe some tv scheduling interference there’s no reason why it’s not out. At this point they should know who all the opponents are and what dates are open on their conference schedule.

Dang dude. You're scheduling weddings around KSU football? You're a bigger fan than me.

Not me, but others at the big boy schools do; try getting a hotel room on a football weekend at a P5 and you probably aren’t going to find any hotel rooms.

Tell me about it. I had to schedule outpatient retina surgery on a Friday and be there for a follow up Saturday morning. Needed a hotel on short notice. This is in Iowa City the weekend of the Iowa St./Iowa game. The few rooms that were available were $325+. I was lucky the hospital had a concierge guy that knew of a hotel on the edge of town that was just opening that week and wasn’t listed online yet. But Iowa City was packed that Friday night.

I don't know... my colonoscopy or the Flashes game?

I’d suggest the colonoscopy. It’s a great “early detection” procedure and there is no pain. The Flashes 2023 football season? Likely a lot of pain in watching them!

In need of a hotel in the State College (PA) area for a Penn State football game and the prices range up to $799/night for a basic room depending on the opponent, and that's Thursday through Sunday. Even in Harrisonburg (VA) for a JMU football game probably starts at $400/night or you're traveling in from 30-60 minutes away.

Last year's DC is headed back to Northern Iowa.

Edit: Was Special Teams Coordinator with current staff

By my count Matt Johnson is only #FlashFAST staff member left.

Jake Olson just left as well to Texans

Schedule is now set, 2 midweek games including our rivalry with the community college down the road. Not sure why that wouldn’t be a weekend game to maximize the attendance.

Michigan v. Michigan State a couple of years ago in East Lansing. Was working another event that weekend and the Red Roof Inn was charging over $200 per night for that Friday and Saturday night. Next year with no game, Hampton Inn was less than $85 per night.
