Hopefully there are some recruits that are tall!

Cook and Hannah each have 2 more years.

Sorry, tall and quick.

You are really preoccupied by height. How do you like our 5'10" power forward. I think she's amazing.

BG is the shortest team in the MAC this year (again) and CMU the tallest. So??? Of the stats I track, height has one of the lowest correlations to win percentage of MAC teams this year.

Lockett and Wiard are both coming back for a 5th year. Only losing Jansen and King (and Brewer of course who already stepped away.)

Three highly touted freshmen coming in, and hopefully at least 1 or 2 of them will step right in and take some of those minutes from Jansen and King. Still 2 scholarship slots open, so it is possible that the team could still sign a player or two from the portal.

Good to know. Looking strong for another run next year.

Is there a womens hoops recruiting site like Verbal Commits? Where on the internet do you follow Womens Recruiting?

Yes, all 5 starters are coming back. Our big girls HAVE to get in shape, lose some weight or find girls that are lean and strong.

Garcia played 31 minutes against Michigan and 34 minutes against Kent State. She is big and strong. You have to be in great shape, at her size, to play those kind of minutes. I love our centers, especially with Noveroske back.

I agree. I really enjoy her nonstop motor. Every good team needs a “glue” player and I think she is UT’s.

Dykstra's team led by 10 after three quarters, blew the lead, and won in overtime to advance to the state quarterfinal in Michigan Division 2. Bonner's team lost by 3 in the regional final.

Bella is on the team already, she's still redshirting but participating in practice and sitting with the team on the bench during games.

RE: WBB Recruiting 2023+ Thread
I've been following the recruiting as best as possible and am excited for this upcoming class to take the floor. With the three we have coming in (Swedlund's actually already here) I noticed that they remind me of three current players. Not sure if it's possible to embed hudl videos so just posting links to them.

I think that Swedlund's our future PG. She reminds me somewhat of Wiard. While her shots in the highlight videos were impressive, some of her assists were pretty amazing. No look, bullet passes right on the mark. Great vision to see the open teammates. She can take it all the way but looks like prefers to pull up for the open jump shot instead. She's already on the team and practicing with them but still redshirting this year so don't be surprised to see her on the court a decent amount next season. She may have come here because of Coach Cullop as she stated on one recruiting website that she was looking for a team to help in basketball coaching skills for later in life. What better teacher?
http://www.hudl.com/v/2FCnL2

Dykstra could answer the question that someone asked earlier about replacing Q. She seems grittier and has no issues taking it into the paint right at the opponents if necessary. Doesn't look like she chooses outside shots much but still very capable. Good defender as well. Also great vision and can find the open player for the assist. I think that we may be seeing her give Q breathers next season. Also she's a top five finalist for Miss Michigan basketball(I think that's what it's called).

http://www.hudl.com/v/2JTqQh

Fegan reminded me a lot of Sammi. From size, playstyle and just all around good at everything. Sites list her at 5'11. Not one thing really stood out among others. She's good shooting, taking it to the basket, dishing out assists. She has set multiple records in her high school playing career. Just an overall good, tough player.
http://www.hudl.com/v/2JiDUy

With Hannah back next season and these three coming in I think that we're actually going to be an even better team(not to take anything away from King and Jansen because they are awesome).

In the MAC? Quick gets around big rather easily, particularly with the circle now in play.

In the leagues they want to beat at the next step? As in the men's, it's about being prepared for match-ups. Those P5s and established bball programs generally have players that are both quick and tall. As more girls get into the game, there will be more quick and tall and best not to be the last MAC team to realize it. Heck, I'd recruit out of volleyball if I had to.
