A-State Adds Interesting Walk-on QB
A-State added 3-Star QB, Will Prichard out of Lake Worth, FL that apparently had a few offers on the table- including scholarship offers from a couple of FBS schools, and Preferred Walk On (PWO) opportunities from Florida and Georgia, before deciding to accept a (PWO) opportunity at A-State.

Looks like a good prospect, but what makes him interesting is that he was apparently highly recruited early on.

Did find an article about him where his coach made the comment that, "You get a lot offers as a young player with a lot of potential," said Clavijo, who was previously the head coach at Champagnat Catholic (Hialeah) before coming over to Santaluces earlier this year.

"But things change as college coaches have been moving around," Clavijo continued. "Half of them want a pocket passer, but half of them want a dual-threat passer. It becomes a numbers game. But it just takes one college to fall in love with you."

It does appear that some of the offers listed by the major recruiting sites may have been real at one time, and looking at video's of the past season, he certainly can throw the ball, so hopefully we can find out the backstory, if any behind this player.

Prichard will enroll in January, as will true freshmen Jaylen Raynor, and West Virginia transfer Will Crowder. They will join rsFR Jaxon Daley for spring ball.

Like all the position groups on their team, they have some nice talent but very young overall. Last year Jones brought in an older transfer, AJ Mayer, to backup James Blackman, but not sure he will add anymore this year.
