I watched both also. Keep going back and forth during timeouts.

I hope I'm wrong and they've worked on their issues since Toledo! Toledo got a handful of votes in the latest top 25 polls.

We beat New Mexico and lost by 2 to San Francisco last year. We were still learning to gel as a team and figure out what we were then.(Lovan outshot Jelly 14-12 in that game if you don’t believe that). That’s what we have under Kennedy in these tournaments. It’s been a while since we completely crapped the bed in one of these tournaments, but it is a thing because we keep posting it as being a thing.

Doesn't Terrell Ard play for them? He was a decent recruit for us a couple of years back, but tore his ACL very early in the year and was out for the season, as I recall. Then he transferred to Presbyterian. I am not sure if he is still there.

EDIT: I looked it up....yes, he is still there and has started all three games this year (and he started several last year). He is averaging 6 points and 3 rebounds in 20 minutes a game.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we split with FAU or they possibly sweep us. They played pretty darn good down the stretch against a spriited UF team and a rowdy crowd.

I remember Ard being really quick for his size before the leg injury.

RE: Presbyterian Blue Hose
Gainesmissed alley oop which admittedly would’ve been extremely difficult to catch and dunk

And he missed a wide open tomahawk dunk that would’ve made it on sports center.

Buffen also missed a dunk

Irvine tweeted Lovan wasn’t on the bench with no explanation yet.
