Idk anything about St Francis but a D1 team should have an edge in the trenches in a game like this. Yet Akron is being out rushed 109 to 41. That seems like a bad sign for Akron.

You mean FBS team, they’re both D1.
FBS=D1A (85 scholarships)
FCS=D1AA (63 scholarships)

That said, St. Francis is in a conference that limits them below that 40-45 scholarships. So their depth is really not there compared to where a MAC program should be and will wear down as the game goes on.

PS: Summit County CC now leading 17-16 as the 4th quarter starts.

St. Francis outplaying the Zippers, but only tied at 23-23 and headed to OT.

Zippies need OT to beat a bad FCS team with fewer students than Stow HS.

And some dumb playcalling to end their game with an INT on 2nd and goal from the three when they ran the ball well all night.
