Unless he actually gets drafted? For our sake I hope he gives us at least a year. I thought last year we were an elite PG away from making some real noise.

There is a date that they players have to have their name removed from the draft by that is well in advance of the actual draft. It sounds like he knows he is not a first round pick so it makes sense to get the feedback and try improve and play himself into the first round for next year's draft.
