RE: Jay Ducker still talking about NIU
Memphis has 3 football practice fields? No wonder they’re Running Back U with all the running back and forth between the 3 fields.

Guess they lied to him. University of Tennessee Martin better get ready. They got an interesting RB named Ducker coming this year.

Strange thing, the picture when you link to his name shows him in a Huskie uniform. Maybe Memphis wasn't sure he'd stick around :)

Unbelievable but true! Should have used a blue crayon to change the uniform color while he waits to go to the University of Tennessee Martin or wherever.

On the field he will be fine, but I think he’s probably not pleasing coaches behind the scenes at this point. Regardless Ducker will be selling insurance in Chattanooga a few years from now. Solid career choice.

He's a helleva player. No one lied to him, they told him the truth. He was not going to be a feature back. We have a couple as good or better and a couple in the wings just as good or better, that's the truth. Wish him well, he will probably do well.

He was “ok”. Had a great system and line. I mean, he’s an OK running back. Lots of those out there.

Now that the saltiness is out of my system. He was a good back, we just have great ones in Waylee and Brown. He is solid at running behind those blocks and finding the holes. Should have a decent enough career at Memphis. It was best for both sides, he gets a chance to produce over there, and we get a chance to let Waylee and Brown play. Amazing that we have the kind of talent to let one of the MAC's best players walk, because we got other interesting alternatives.

He's behind a sophomore on the depth chart.

Good luck to him-- but seriously, he bailed cuz he was afraid of competition. And he found out he's gonna have competition everywhere!

Give him his props. He put up numbers and outrushed A. Brown in most games. Hammock gave him twice the carries during bowl game as an example. He was quietly elusive.

That said, I still don't expect him to be missed.

Hammock trusted him. Brown fumbled a bit more than Hammock liked out of a true freshman.

That said, he was an OK back. If I was him I would have found a softer landing than Memphis.

He ran for almost 1200 yards and was MAC freshman of the year and he didn’t really play the first 4-5 games. He’s a good player. We don’t need to tear him down now that he’s gone.

Obviously had some issues for whatever reason and we’ll be more than fine without him. But he can play.

Yeah, he was OK. Childers was MAC freshman (newcomer?)of the year too, if I recall. He was OK too.

So Ducker is OK. He can probably find a place. Memphis isn’t where I would have gone.
