If it's a bummer of an off season for us, it's a bummer for everyone else. In going with the times, it's not a bummer at all. Penny and every coach will now get to build whatever kind of team they want, without players having to sit out a year. You can sign players and run them off as you see fit.

If it is a bummer, it is a bummer that the game isn't what it was before, which was specifically a convenience for entitled fans and a system that didn't have the players' best interests in mind.

College basketball is now like one big no contract cell phone plan. You can drop one plan for another, add and drop features, tailor it to meet your needs.

So when fans are sad because players are leaving, understand that you are only sad for yourself. Nolley, Minott, LQ, Timberlake, and whoever else leaves aren't sad, they are happy. They can do whatever they want.

Penny is going to kick ass. He is the pied piper, he is going to be able to get just about anyone he wants.

He was a flight risk at the end of last season, was reportedly unhappy early in the season, had a terrible finish to this season and then was immediately rumored to be considering leaving...

If this is a shocking then you just have not been paying attention for two years now...

Penny loves his Memphis guys so much that he recruits over them when he can. Why is it that he didn't start an exclusively Memphis-based team this season? I mean its his dream, and the players were already here, right? Jesus...some people live in la la land.

Nolley must have talked to Penny before leaving.. Penny may have hinted he is keeping Emoni.. Could be a good sign.

As far as Nolley, I wouldn't be surprised if he plays his last year at LSU.. He will get all the minutes there.. His dad played there as well.

Nolley had peaked and is hit and miss at best. I'll take Bates over Nolley if this is what's happening.

To me the most overvalued player on the team. He had a handful of games where he shot the ball well but other than that did nothing else. No defense or rebounding. This is an easy upgrade through the portal.
