Hope he sticks !! Nice kid who seems to have a good head on his shoulders… Could be switched around to play multiple positions… With an improved line, could put up Travis Steele type numbers !!

The correct spelling is Walendzak. His father and grandfather were long time residents of Oregon and graduates of Clay High. His dad was a helluva hockey player and baseball player (All-Ohio) and his grandfather played football and wrestled at Findlay - along with being the fire chief and a football coach at Clay. He won't back out of the commitment he made unless something drastic happens. Family isn't wired that way.

Yes - that is his grandfather. Lived next to my girlfriend's parents. Passed away around 2017 at the age of 75.

I would point out that this is the lowest rated recruiting class we have had in years. 24/7 and On3 have us in the high 90s and rivals does not even have Toledo in the top 100.

Now that’s sad.

Agreed! Quality not quantity.

Also, I would anticipate some positive momentum in the Transfer Portal before February once Blair and Candle can agree on terms of an extension.
