Miscellaneous Stuff
1. Lunardi's first bracket is out on ESPN with Delaware a 16 seed playing UCLA.

2. WBB - NCAA is expanding the field to 68 teams mirroring the MBB.

The CAA's ranked 16th in NET, so that would be a real blow to the conference if they get a 16 seed. Looks like they should be in 14 seed territory.

Delaware look awful right now, like 6th place type CAA team bad. So a 16 for them is fair. But Delaware is far from the top team in the conference. Talented and experienced, sure, but not showing it yet. Right now JMU is looking good (but arent allowed the auto bid), but Hofstra is looking ok, we look fine and so does CofC

Since we don't have a media thread, not sure where else to put this. But we lost a legend yesterday in Pat Delsi. He was 86

Sorry to hear that. Pat was nice guy and always seemed to have a smile on his face. A fellow HOF'er, I hope he found his "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow." Anybody who listened to his broadcasts know exactly what I'm talking about.

So so sad. Part of my love of Drexel basketball came from listening to him call games in the 90's. My roommate and I used to visit him before the game at road games and he also took time to chat with us.

I know exactly what you mean. See my post about it on Facebook.

I use https://www.warrennolan.com/basketball/2...conference and most conferences have the same Conference NET as last season, which I don't think is a coincidence. The NCAA doesn't make the NET at the beginning of the season, and unlike the RPI, the NET formula is not public for websites to do it on their own, albeit CBS Sports has what they say is the NET. For now I would use the RPI (21st) and Sagarin (16th). For people like me who don't pay KenPom, you can see teams ranked, but not conferences. The NCAA says the NET starts in December without a date. Another thing to look at is where the top CAA team ranks among the top team in each conference. https://sagarin.usatoday.com/2022-2/coll...s-2021-22/ makes that easy. Hofstra is 129th in the Sagarin, and they're the seventh worst team that leads their conference, which would make them the bottom 15 seed in a bracket from the Sagarin.
