Unfortunately, it's become more fun in 2021 to pay attention to other college football games.

Tonight in Ruston, with a bit over 4 minutes to go, USM leads Louisiana Tech 28-19. USM has done a remarkable job playing running backs as its quarterbacks (Frank Gore Jr. has 2 TD passes tonight, and Antavious Willis who is listed as a DB has another TD pass).

La Tech with a bit over 200 yards of offense in this game, as they are another team that have had quite a few QB injuries this season.

USM wins 35-19 to end an 8-game losing streak.

We'll actually be favored against Louisiana Tech next week at HRS.

Ohio State demolishing Michigan State at the end of the first quarter, 21-0.

Edit: 42-0 now midway through Q2. Michigan State look like complete fools for offering that absurd contract extension.

Georgia, Texas A&M and Mississippi State are having the annual SEC competition of demolishing the overmatched non-conference opponent. At the half, Georgia is winning the battle. They lead Charleston Southern 49-0 at the break. TAMU up 38-0 on Prairie View A&M, and Mississippi State up 35-0 over Tennessee State.

PVAM was 7-2 coming into todays TAMU (7-3) game. With about 10 minutes to play, TAMU 52 - PVAM 3. PVAM has 133 yds of offense, I doubt Bloomgren’s Owls would be doing any better. I certainly don’t think PVAM’s 25 yd FG would be a given for the Owls.

I think it's great that PVAM plays TAMU. They are certainly the closest schools to each other in that area, and they should play each other in every sport really. I just don't think TAMU (or other SEC teams - Kentucky is another this week who is playing a poor team but at least an FBS team in New Mexico State) should be playing FCS teams so late in the year as injuries are really going to take a toll on teams with less scholarships to begin with.

Texas loses at West Virginia 31-23, its 7th straight loss. People are going to talk about Sarkasian, but the thing is Texas isn't a premier football program anymore and hasn't been one since 2009. Since 2010, they're now 84-67 and this is their 5th losing season in the past 12 seasons.

Only 6th straight, but 7th overall, they beat us, TT, and TCU between the Arkansas loss and the 6 straight losses. They won't be bowling.

I still have a hard time seeing Sark as the right guy for there.
