5 year 9.25 million

RE: Silverfield's contract
just add another log on the fire.

I want to see Sliverfield and ever other coach get on tv and say this is their fault and what they are going to do to fix it quickly.

RE: Silverfield's contract
So basically its about $3.5 million. The question is when you can afford to keep him another year. I say no.

How are we going to be better next year? No Dykes… no Austin.

Silverfield isn’t going anywhere. We have to manage with what we have until 2023, at least.

Unless we have a huge turn around, then there’s gotta be changes with the assistant coach(es), right????? Can’t see any way around that.

RE: Silverfield's contract
I get the feeling that the folks who control the money view football as an albatross, and long to see Memphis take the Big East route and drop football down to FCS or even eliminate it altogether. I don’t get the sense that football matters to them.

But, the fish rots from the head down.

His coaches are the ones who can not make in game adjustments, his OC calls poor plays that don't make yardage, his DC runs a defense that is just plain terrible. His special teams coach just plain sucks.

But, you go ahead and support him for a while longer. Eventually you will see the light and will change your mind. I got no skin in the game so I can wait until you come around.

We’re probably stuck with him at least 1 more season. He might hang 1 or both of his coord’s out to save his ass, and buy himself another year.
