What if we all said no to realignment?
First it will never happen. No one would not know what to talk about. I get so tired of people insulting other schools and insulting mine. It is nice to have discussion about it, but there is nothing really we can do about it, so why must we insult each other. I think ODU fans like myself get excited about playing teams closer to us. I would not want to be the AAC choice makers. There are a lot of great candidates

If Americans do what those anti-Super League European football fans did, they would be tear gassed and thrown in jail. Also the fact that more per capita care about European soccer than fans of G5 programs.

Why do people respond that way? I see a lot of this on line. Rutgers is a nice school, but they are no different from any other school, other than they are a big 10 school, but he tries to make g5 schools feel inferior. Well,if they ever went to a college football super league, I hope for you to enjoy g5 status, because it would not be 69 schools in p5 anymore. It would be more like 30. See,this is not what it supposed to be about. Our country is so divided and everyone is really mean to other people. Petty crap, we argue over. Geeezzz

I don’t know man… maybe you have to go back to your youthful utopia. I’d wager the general age of this board is probably 30-50’s. You’re sounding like 22 or 23. No offense, but please at least act a little less naive than this.

RE: What if we all said no to realignment?
Plus you are looking at apples and oranges. Realignment affects a handful of programs in a limited scope. Something like a Super League (which I pivoted the discussion to) would affect the entire landscape and draw a lot more ire nationally. We just aren’t there yet, but it would draw a ton of backlash, close to European soccer levels but not quite.
I don’t know, there is something different about Europeans. They’ve just been very collectivist for many centuries now. I don’t think fans would have the will power to protest a Super FBS division in the same way. We’re just of a different ilk. But I’m getting beyond my scope.
