Here is the press release for a new signee that will add depth and talent to our lineup:
<a href='http://www.southernmiss.com/sports/mbball/release.asp?RELEASE_ID=1412' target='_blank'>Info</a>
It was rumored that he was supposed to sign with Ole Miss. However, he wanted to attend good 'ol Southern Miss. People know that CUSA is going to be a strong force in college basketball for years to come.
Southern to the Top!!!

I hear that Perkiston is going to have a tough B.ball team this year. So, Hamburgerboy, y'all think you can handle them? What about Leakesville and Purvis?

10Man, we have a decent basketball team. I think we could beat OM. When is the last time has OM won a road conference game? If you answered "none"--that would be correct.
Wryword, go schedule all those Division III opponents. At least CUSA has some of the toughest basketball programs in the nation. We have Cincy, Memphis, Marquette, etc. The only good teams in the SEC are UK, Florida and Bama. OM is at the bottom of the SEC basketball and all other sports for that matter. When are you going to realize that?
GO EAGLES!!!

That wasn't your original point, now was it? You claimed the Rebels hadn't won a road SEC game. I proved you wrong. Admit it. Don't try to hide your idiotic assumptions once they are rendered into a flaming pile of nothingness.

You are assuming too much, CTWN. I know that my original point was. However, I had to add the fact that beating Ark in Fayetteville isnt saying much.

Bro, witty flat out called your ass out and you were flat busted, my man. How does it feel to have the smack down laid upon thee? Nevermind, I forgot you're a Miss South fan, you are all too aware of that feeling.
Now go cook me a burger, boy! And hurry it up, slack-ass!

What smack? I proved my point. Is anything wrong with admitting you are wrong? Witty, NPR, yourself and the rest of the pirates are afraid to do so. You all have done nothing but lie over the past five months. Southern Miss fans have proved you wrong and those facts were denied. OM SUCKS!!!

hammie fact #1: USM draws 40,000 per game
reality check #1: 28,000 per at best
hammie fact #2: Ole Miss hasn't won a road conference game
reality check #2: Ole Miss over hosting Arkansas (stop making me repeat this dammit. it's painful)
Shall I continue?

Very clever, Witty. You are a regular Matlock. However, my point that OM sucks and will never win the SEC West is correct.

I'd rather be more of a Sipowitz-type. Not for the balding, fat man thing. More for the "don't screw with me" vibe.

Try to understand something, son. Teacher's College is the red-haired and illegitimate child of the NCAA. The reason those teams schedule you is because they need a break in their schedules. They are not playing you because it is some kind of challenge. I know that the intersection of Highway 49 and I-59 is remote, so I am trying here to explain this to you.
We, on the other hand, play in a major conference. We have no need of running about, hat in hand, begging people to put us on their schedule just so we can get some attention while we are getting our butts whipped. I don't think Teacher's College can be blamed for doing this kind of thing -- what choice has it -- but to try to compare what you pathetic people are doing with what we do is extraordinarily stupid.
Run along, son. As for myself, this is enough time slumming on the cusa board

Ole Miss is the cupcake opponent on other teams' schedules. Dont deny that, Wryword. When OM plays tough out of conference teams (which is rare); it turns into disaster. Texas Tech proved that earlier this year. The only reason you played them was in hopes for a bowl bid. However, that will not happen. How does it feel to be sitting at home during bowl season. A 5-7 record is a joke. You are going to watch the other SEC teams play. Also, enjoy watching CUSA teams like TCU, Lousiville, Tulane and of course Southern Miss. 'Nuf Said!!!
GO EAGLES!!!
