It looks like some nice additions to Provost Umphrey gameday amenities this season. Lamar is adding a beer garden and cabanas at the Dauphin Athletic Center side of the stadium. Another addition is a Kid Zone inside the stadium.

In addition to admission to the game, the cabanas will include:

50 inch tv
mini cornhole game
plug for charging phones
a branded LU 6 foot table
case of beer
access to the beer garden
additional chairs
a high top table

A $35 price of admission to the beer garden includes:
2 beers, a bar for additional purchases, and games

The “cabanas” are becoming a thing as SFA and Tarleton both have them. More and more schools are selling beer which I think is a good thing. Saw today on Twitter, SFA has partnered with a local brewery to produce and sell a beer with the lumberjack theme.

Yep, Lamar started game time beer sales with the 2019 season. I suspect those sales will continue with the beer garden experience as an extra attraction. I agree that it is a good thing.

I’m hoping Tarleton starts sales this year as its another revenue stream so let’s take advantage.
